Water Polo Team
The water polo program is open to everyone – even if you are not on the swim team. Water polo is played at three levels. The Minis team is for children who are 10 years of age and younger. This group will focus on an introduction to the game and basic skill development. The Junior team is for children from 11 to 13 years of age. The Senior team is for those who are 14 to 17 years of age. The Junior and Senior groups practice together in order to focus on game strategies, advanced drills and scrimmages. There will still be an emphasis on basic skills development

Ryan jumped at the exciting opportunity to become the Head Water Polo coach at Newfield nine years ago. He focuses on teaching the skills, strategies and rules of the sport in a fun environment that instills good sportsmanship, teamwork and personal accomplishment. Ryan is also in his ninth year teaching elementary school.
A former NCAA player at Iona College, Ryan believes water polo teaches strong values and is interested in providing an opportunity for players of all abilities to have an enjoyable experience learning and excelling at the sport. Ryan was also a two-year captain of the swim team at Iona, specializing in the Individual Medley events in which he was a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference finalist all four years.
Ryan lives in Mount Kisco, NY with his wife Meghan and daughter.
